Easy Bill & The Big Beat - "Midnight Creep"

This young band from Denver, Colorado mixes contemporary sounds with vintage jump blues and come up with an entertaining and swinging debut. Produced by Nick Moss, the band covers Jimmy McCracklin, Johnny Guitar Watson and Paul Gayten as well as writing credible originals in the style of the old masters. Guitarist "Easy Bill" Towber has done his homework and plays with fire throughout. Nick Moss is featured on guitar on a couple songs and also blows some gut bucket harp. If your taste runs along the line of Little Charlie, Nick Curran or Duke Robillard this cd is for you. It is an excellent debut from a band that has a bright future in R&B.
